Correspondence of the commissioner relating to the number of hours worked by employees of various businesses and industrial firms; and employer compliance with laws regulating employee hours (largely hours worked by women and children). Includes complaints against employers, orders to reduce employee hours, and letters concerning certain cases in court. Correspondents include employers, labor inspectors, the superintendent of the Division of Women and Children, and the attorney general.
